Last November 14, 2008, Philippine Economic Society held its 46th Annual Meeting in Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. This year focuses on the “Competitiveness, Growth and Equity in Globalizing Economy” from which different speakers shared the global and economic trends that is taking other nation to further progress.

Participants of the event include the following: students, academe, professionals and businessmen. The main highlight of the conference is the talk of prominent public figures namely: Ralph Recto and Jocelyn “Joc-Joc” Bolante.

November 15, 2008 on the other is the 11th International Convention of the East Asian Economic Association, held in Diamond Hotel and the conferences theme for this year is Regional Risk Management in East Asia.
